Created in a wildreness area of the Rocky Mountains of Colorado through sacred ceremony, no animal parts are used and no animals are harmed. In the same tradition as Daniel Mapel, these essences are created during a ceremonial process in which I connect deeply with and attune to the spirit of each animal. Stopping in Manitou Springs, CO. to collect the natural spring water from Cheyenne spring, I continue on to a sacred place in the mountains. Once there, water collected from the spring is then poured into a clear crystal bowl and eleven double terminated quartz crystals are place around the bowl to act as lightning rods, or guides for the energy to travel through into the water. I begin the ceremony by walking in a large circle around the bowl - approximately 100 meters in diameter. During my walk an attitude of constant invocational prayer, invitation to the animal spirit, reverence, and conscious connecting with the animal spirit is held. Walking in a series of ever smaller circles spiraling toward the center, the meditation usually concludes after about 20 minutes when I find myself beside the bowl. If nessesary, I remain in meditation until I feel fully connected with the animal I am working with. When the connection is complete I feel, in a way, as if I am myself the animal. At this time I invite the spirit of the animal to inhabit the water in the bowl. When I feel the animal spirit transfer itself from me to the water, the ceremony draws to a close. I thank the animal spirit, myself, and all of life in a closing prayer.
